Parts of Imphal disinfect
IMPHAL, Mar 26 : After a Nationwide lockdown for 21 days was enforced in a bid to control the spread of COVID-19, parts of Imphal city were sterilised/disinfected on March 25.
Raj Bhawan, CM Bungalow, Police Headquarters, Reserved Line, Paona Keithel and Thangal Keithel areas were cleaned and disinfected with Sodium Hypochlorite solution using firefighting vehicles.
Meanwhile, City Police led cleaning/disinfection works in the market area today.
It may be noted that Manipur has a confirmed case of COVID-19 becoming the first State in North East India to have the disease on March 24. The pandemic has claimed more than 22,000 lives globally so far with Italy being the worst hit country.
