109 Bn clinch Inter GC/ Bn CRPF Hockey title

Hosts 109 Bn CRPF were crowned the champions of the Inter Gc/Bn(Ops) CRPF Hockey Tournament organized  since March 6 under the aegis of IGP, M&N Sector CRPF at Mongsangei, Makha Leikai.
109 Bn CRPF trounced 86 Bn by 7-0 goals in the one sided final encounter to claim the title of the tournament which was participated by 8 teams / Bns (32, 69, 86,78, 87, 109, 143 Bns & GC Imphal). Earlier in the semi-finals, 109 Bn edged out 143 Bn by 2-1 goals while 86 Bn hammered 78 Bn by 6-0 goals to complete the final line up. The valedictory function of the knock-out tournament was graced by Vinod Kumar, Commandant 109 Bn as chief guest who also feted the winners, runners up and participating teams, said a press release of 109 Bn CRPF.
The chief guest also lauded the teams for highlighting utmost sportsmanship and discipline during the course of the competition, it added.
