Imphal, Apr 12 (DIPR): To ensure that the people of the State are provided with an uninterrupted supply of foodgrain especially rice, the State Government is distributing PDS items to every household in all the districts of Manipur under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMKAY) in the backdrop of the outbreak of COVID-19 and lockdown in the State.
For Kundrakpam AC in Imphal East district, 757.3256 quintals of rice was lifted and 229.6520 quintals of rice was lifted for Khurai AC from FCI Godown. As on April 11, 2020, for Heingang AC, 1890.05 quintals of rice was lifted under PMKAY.
In Thoubal district today, 1.25 quintal rice was issued to NIRMA, Sangaiyumpham and 25 quintals was issued to Public Grievance Cell, Lilong and volunteers under Open Market Sales Scheme (OMSS).
