Ramadan greetings

IMPHAL, Apr 24 : Chief Minister N Biren Singh has extended warm greetings to all Muslims brothers and sisters of Manipur on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramzan/Ramadan.
In his message, he reminded that the Holy month of Ramzan/Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam and a great opportunity for Muslims to purify their mind, body, heart and soul by fasting and praying to the Almighty Allah.
Wishing peace, happiness and prosperity to the State on this occasion, the Chief Minister asked all to imbibe Prophet Mohammed’s teachings of promoting peace and enduring happiness of humanity.
Works Minister Th Biswajit has also extended warm wishes and greetings to the people of Manipur, especially the Muslim community.
He prayed that the spirit of Ramadan stays in the hearts of all and illuminate their souls from within.
Pesh Imam, Sadar Bazar Jame Masjid, Manipur Muslim Social Unification and Upliftment Organisation (MMSUUO) and All Meetei Pangal Students’ Union of Manipur (AMPSUM) also sent their greetings to all Manipur Meitei-Pangal in the State while praying for peace and harmony.
The Pesh Imam also informed that the Ramadan moon was sighted at Moreh today and thus, fasting will commence from tomorrow, April 25.
