MPP extends help

IMPHAL, Apr 26: Manipur People's Party (MPP) under the aegis of its interim president L Krishnadas has provided relief materials to Children Home at Tera market and Poirei Nawakol at Koirengei Achanbigei.
The party provided the homes with daily essential items including rice, potatoes, onions and other edible items.
The relief materials were provided taking the difficulties and hardships the homes are facing due to the lockdown and limited availability of the essential items into consideration, said MPP interim president L Krishnadas.
Lauding the dedication of the healthcare professionals and other frontline workers in the fight against the coronavirus, L Krishnadas said that emphasis should also be given to agricultural sector at this juncture. Farmers should be encouraged and all should work together to make agricultural activities successful this season, he said.
MPP working president M Amutombi said that the aids to the children homes were provided from contributions made by the party workers. "MPP supports and lauds the efforts and policies being taken up by the Government to fight COVID-19," he said.
MPP general secretary Gitajen, Chanura Marup leaders and many party workers took part in the relief material distribution.
