IMPHAL, Apr 29 : The All Manipur Health Services Doctors Association (AMHSDA) has protested against the failure to include Non Practicing Allowance (NPA) in their pay, a press statement issued by AMHSDA said.
The association had sent a total of 11 office memos to Finance Department for inclusion of said NPA under Manipur Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2019.
However, the department has failed to do so and in this regard, the association has decided to protest donning black-badge from May 1 onwards, all OPDs, elective surgery, etc remain suspended from May 1 and only COVID-19 related emergency services will continue, it informed.
Further, if the Government does not take up favourable action by May 7, the association has warned that total cease work strike by all MHS officers will be imposed.
The statement has also instructed all CMOs to communicate in writing after consultation with MHS doctors of their districts along with signatures regarding decision taken, which is to reach the office of AMHSDA president by 1 pm of April 30.
