Governor wishes

IMPHAL, Apr 4: Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has conveyed warm wishes to the people of Manipur, especially the Jain brethren, on the sacred and auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, 2020.
She said that Lord Mahavir showed humanity the path to salvation through love, compassion, mercy and abdication of material elements, and his teachings transcend all barriers and his everlasting message of peaceful co-existence rings true even now.
The Governor appealed to all to follow the spiritual and ethical path propounded by Lord Mahavir and to ardently follow his values of living in harmony and brotherhood.
