Imphal, May 17: Taking a serious note of the sharp rise of COVID-19 active cases in the State within the last two days, Federation of All Tribal Youth Clubs Manipur has stated that careful monitoring in the hill districts is the need of the hour.
FATYCM said that there is a threat due to poor arrangement, inadequate facilities and lack of social distancing among roommates in the quarantine centres which can spark rise of COVID-19 cases at any time in the district.
To avoid unwanted outcomes, FATYCM has appealed District Disaster Management Authority headed by the Dy Commissioners in each district to do the needful at the earliest possible.
It also urged the State Government to  provide additional staff with necessary equipment to medical practitioners to handle the situation more effectively before the situation becomes worse.
