One flees from quarantine centre at Moreh

MOREH, May 20 : A member of a proscribed militant group, who was apprehended by security forces along the Indo Myanmar border and handed over to Moreh police has fled from a Forest IB quarantine centre.
The individual named Asom Thungyo (30) from Kamjong district was kept at room number 7 of the said quarantine centre which was manned under the supervision of Moreh police.
He is suspected to have fled the centre at around 10.30 pm from the centre taking advantage of the absence of bars of the ventilator of the attached toilet. Top officials rushed to the spot subsequent to the news of his escape.
Moreh police is making all out efforts to ascertain the whereabouts of the escapee.
