Three more quarantine centres opened at Bishnupur
No new inmates with old inmates : Govt

IMPHAL, May 22: There will be no mixing of people, who came back to Manipur on different dates and from different places, in the quarantine centres, said Government today.
Those who arrive later will not be mixed with old inmates in the quarantine centres to prevent spread of coronavirus. Those arriving on specific date from one place will be accommodated in the quarantine centres without mixing with other groups or inmates already under quarantine, said the Government order issued by V Vumlunmang, Principal Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) today.
Further, those tested negative for COVID-19 will be discharged from the quarantine centres for 14 days home quarantine, it said adding the decisions were taken by the State Cabinet on May 20.
Meanwhile, three quarantine centres have been activated in Bishnupur district to accommodate and quarantine returnees. With the addition of the three centres at Diligent Public School, Moirang AC, Ideal English School, Thanga AC and BK Golden Academy, Kumbi AC, the total number of community quarantine centres in the district is 20, said a memorandum issued by Deputy Commissioner, Neeta Arambam.
