DAMMS appeals

Imphal, May 21
DAMMS has alauded the State Government for releasing the final tentative list of the evacuees who will be   going home on May 23 and 25 on tengbang website.
Mujamil Korimayum, president DAMMS said in a statement that it appreciates the Government for acknowledging and considering the issues which the Manipuris stranded outside the State have been facing.
However, it came to light that some people who have already left on private vehicles and currently in quarantine centres were included in the tentative list. It is likely that there might be many more such names. Moreover, some applicants' names which were given on the list are not even proper names and thus many who deserve to be included are missing out.
It urged the authorities concerned to intervene and verify the lists again to lessen much of the wastage and enable the Government to render help to more number of people.
