Khangabok AC MLA appeals

THOUBAL, May 22: Claiming that an unwanted incident might break out anytime in future owing to the abrupt changes in COVID status of Manipur and the stigmatization of returnees from different cities by certain groups, Khangabok AC MLA Okram Surjakumar appealed to the State Government to regulate a policy at the earliest to avoid such undesirable incident from happening at the earliest. 
Speaking to media persons by the sideline of disinfection programme of community quarantine centres opened at Thoubal and Khangabok, O Surjakumar appealed all to encourage people who are working at different quarantine centres of the State and combating COVID-19 at the frontlines.
The MLA also provided hand sanitizer, face masks etc. to different quarantine centres.
It may be mentioned that personnel of Thoubal Fire Service took part in the disinfection drive.
