Ideal Democracies

Jacinda Ardern. New Zealand Prime minister. Just like an "ordinary" citizen("VIP" is a dirty word in ideal democracies; "VIP" culture thrives only in class-based feudal societies), the PM walks in with her partner in a Wellington cafe. But due to physical distancing measures in place, the cafe was "full" and the PM was refused admission! Most sportingly Jacinda accepted it and moved on!
This reminds another incident of 2 years earlier in that Virginia restaurant named "Red Hen" in USA! None other than Donald Trump's press secretary Sarah Sanders walks in with her entourage. News about the visit reached the owner Stephanie Wilkinson. She rushes from home to the restaurant. Meanwhile starters got served. As they were enjoying it and waiting for main course, the owner reaches the restaurant.
She humbly called Sanders to a corner and told politely but firmly "I'd like to ask you to leave"! Without waiting a second or arguing, Trump's secretary remarked "That's fine, I will go" and left with her team! No repercussion for the "insult" later on!
Why did the owner ask the Secretary and her team to leave the premises! Because Stephanie Wilkinson hated Trump's "draconian" policies revolving immigration or the way in which his administration used to separate the children from the parents at Mexico border found to enter USA illegally! By sacrificing her personal economic interest, owner of Red Hen could easily refuse to serve the Secretary to respect her own moral and humanitarian stand revolving immigration policy!
This is called Democracy! A PM enters a cafe casually, the PM can be refused a seat to respect COVID-related laws, the PM leaves the premises smilingly, a restaurant owner can ask none other than the Press Secretary of the current President to leave the eatery (to remain true to her moral humanitarian stand), the Secretary also leaves it calmly without creating any fuss!
Can it be imagined in some other countries which also officially proclaim it to be "DEMOCRACY"!
How can it be possible in New Zealand or USA!
Is it because real essence of democracy pursued by the top tier transmit courage spine and confidence among "ordinary" citizens emboldening them to act upright to defend their principles and rules!
Or the top powerful tier know that if they dare to behave with audacity mocking all norms of law and murdering freedom of speech; then "ordinary" citizens would teach the power-mongers a tough lesson through the democratic path of election!
Whatever it is, let's wish that such REAL DEMOCRACY reaches those shores also which pay mere lip service to "Democracy"! Let that time come in every "Democracy" where rule of law reigns supreme with all citizens get treated on equal terms irrespective of their position, where citizens can boldly stand up to their principles and ethos, where top personnel in Government can be challenged confronted and rebuked if they walk on the path of inhumanity and adopt draconian measures at the drop of a hat!
