Jiribam, May 3: Some Civil Society Organisations of Jiribam made some comments in the media house expressing their grievances about the inconvenience being faced by Jiribam populace based on the fact that the district is a part of the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency. However, the opinion and grievances expressed by the CSOs don't cover the opinion of tribal people of the district, said All Jiribam Tribal Union (AJTU) in a statement.
It further stated that AJTU pleaded the State higher authorities and MP of Outer Manipur Constituency to take special care of this vulnerable district in all the aspects of the fight against COVID-19.
The AJTU also mentioned that medical facilities in the district need upgrading.
The needs of the people in rural areas are greatly constrained by lockdown, ATJU said and appealed to the State higher authority and MP of Outer Manipur Constituency to look after the needs of these meagre income people.
The All Jiribam Tribal Union also expressed profound appreciation and gratitude to the District Administration of Jiribam, Police department, Health Authority and various Civil Society Organisations who have been in the forefront battling against COVID-19 pandemic.
