New office bearers of the Manipur Film Journalists’ and Critics’ Association for the year 2020-2022 have been unanimously appointed after its annual general meeting which was held on Sunday.
The newly elected members are senior journalist Manindra Konsam as president, Dr Maibam Ratan Kumar as vice president, Salam Ranjan, Editor, The Image, as secretary, N Noren Meitei, News 18 & TOM TV as joint and publicity secretary and Aken Shijagurumayum, State Film Critic Awardee, as treasurer.
The meeting also appointed RK Bidur Singh, National Film Critic Awardee, Meghachandra Kongbam, Swarna Kamal Awardee for Best Film Critic, Dr Irom Gambhir Singh, Prof in English Department, Manipur University as advisors for the same duration.
Other executive members who were also appointed are Dr Makhonmani Mongsaba, National and State awardee filmmaker, Ruhinikumar Thoudam, Nokphade fame, Bobby Wahengbam, noted filmmaker and Swarna Kamal awardee for Best Book on Cinema, AC Netrajit, noted film & literature activist, Yambem Tombi Devi, imminent broadcaster and film critic awardee, Naorem Sanaton, film exhibitor, Ph Dimbeshwar Sharma, film activist.
The newly elected members will actively associate in the ‘good film movement’ in the arena of Manipuri films, a press note released by the association said.
