Associations mourn

IMPHAL, Jun 19: Manipuri Theatre Centre (MTC), Assam and Iramdam Manipur Artistes' Association (IMAA) have condoled the demise of celebrated Shumang Leela and Manipuri feature film actor Chinglen Thiyam, yesterday. In separate statements, MTC, Assam and IMAA said that they observed two minutes silence to honour the life and work of Chinglen Thiyam, who was popularly known for his role as Commando Chinglen. He died at 70.
