IRCS organises blood donation camp

In collaboration with the IRCS Imphal East District Branch,  the Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch organised a voluntary blood donation camp at Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS Imphal today.
44 units of blood were donated by the volunteers. Similarly, the Red Cross volunteers of Imphal West District Branch also donated 12 units of blood in coordination with AVBD, Manipur and RIMS Blood Donors Community yesterday, said a press release issued by IRCS, Manipur Branch. Altogether 56 units of blood have been donated by Red Cross volunteers during the last two days and a total of 185 units of blood during lockdown period. Dr Y Mohen Singh, chairman and Dr RK Nimai Singh, secretary of IRCS, Manipur State Branch distributed caps, badges and certificates to the blood donors, it added.
