Nagaland tallies 387
DIMAPUR, Jun 27 : The count of COVID-19 cases in Nagaland has reached 387 on Saturday after the State reported 12 more fresh cases in the past 12 hours, reports NNN.
As the number of recovered cases of COVID-19 in the State stands at 164 as on Saturday, the tally of active cases is 223.
According to the State Health Department, 2 more cases have recovered on Saturday.
“2 more patients have recovered from COVID-19. Both patients are from Dimapur,” Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister, S Pangnyu Phom informed in his latest update on Twitter on Saturday.
Meanwhile, after the Nagaland police Constable tested positive for COVID-19 on June 24 in Mon district, some top officials of the district have gone into “self-isolation”.
According to a report, the Deputy Commissioner of the district, the Superintendent of Police and the Chief Medical Officer have taken precautions after it was learnt that they came in contact with someone who was in close proximity with the said police personnel.
The police Constable posted at a quarantine centre in Mon district developed COVID-19 symptoms on Wednesday last. Following this, a swab sample was taken from him and a Truenat test was conducted which "returned positive" on June 24 evening.
Following the development, Mon district administration has been enforcing total lockdown in the entire district since June 25 as a pre-emptive measure.
The report said that the police personnel had come into contact with others in the past few days. Contact tracing is underway in this regard.
