Swab samples of Kpi COVID frontline workers collected

KANGPOKPI, Jun 29: Swab samples of the district COVID frontline workers including health workers, doctors, district police, journalists and volunteers engaged in catering services, were collected by the District Medical Department today.
Altogether, 95 samples, including those of 24 inmates, were collected for testing.
Kangpokpi district reached the hundredth mark in positive cases on June 28 and out of it, 40 have recovered and discharged from the respective hospital. The cumulative number of sample sent for testing as on June 28 is 3,435, out of which 3,234 sample results have been received so far.
Meanwhile, 95 returnees from Bangalore, 3 from Assam and 23 by flight from Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore and Guwahati reached the district screening centre today.
The volunteers of COVID emergency food kiosk provided them with food and later they were dropped to their designated Institutional Quarantine Centres after screening by the medic team.
