RIMS appeals

IMPHAL, Aug 17 : Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal has reminded all to fight and defeat the COVID-19 pandemic together.
RIMS, in a statement, said that doctors, nursing officials, paramedics and other frontline workers of RIMS have been facing social stigma related to COVID-19 from their own localities.
They are serving the Nation as warriors in the battle against the disease and they deserve appreciation, the RIMS authority said while requesting public not to create an atmosphere of discrimination and fear psychosis.
"We should not break the moral of our corona warriors and instead salute them for the work they are doing," it said.
"Just because they are working with patients does not mean that they are affected," it added while expressing deep anguish over reports that doctors, nursing officials, paramedics and other frontline workers are being ostracized in their localities.
