Two young men from Manipur have made it to the list of the successful candidates of the Civil Services Exam 2019, results of which were announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) today.
Nongjai Mohd Ali Akram Shah of Khergao Nongjai Leikai Kshetrigao from Imphal East district secured the 188th rank while Parikshit Thoudam of Uripok Cheirap Maning from Imphal West district secured the 373rd rank.
Candidates can check their results at -upsc.gov.in.
Ali Akram Shah studied his B Tech in Computer Science from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Manipur and Thoudam is an alumnus of Sainik School in Imphal, said sources.
As per sources, a total number of seven persons from North East India were among the successful candidates who have been selected for various Civil Services, including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS).
The final result was declared by the UPSC based on the result of the written examination which was conducted in September 2019 and the interviews for personality test held between February and August this year.
Pradeep Singh topped the Civil Services Exam (CSE), followed by Jatin Kishore and Pratibha Verma.
