Ching-Tam United Women's Association (CHITUWA) has questioned the Government whether it has forgotten to save lives while struggling to secure the Governance.
CHITUWA, in a press statement, condemned the death of an expectant mother, Kanpatliu Kamei on August 5 at the strongest term and asked why would not the Government's faulty policy be blamed for such a fateful incident.
It was indeed necessary to bring in State natives stranded at various parts of the Country but the manner and the frequency they were brought without studying holding capacity of a poor State like Manipur were very irresponsible and mindless, it said With inadequate doctors and healthcare facilities, emergencies facilities have been shut all because of shallow thoughts and loopholes while enforcing SOPs.
Urging for necessary steps to make sure that all are ensured proper and necessary treatment, the association said that more cases similar to the death of two men from Thoubal and Late Kanpatliu Kamei are bound to happen in coming days if the State Government fails to identify its priorities.
