Lockdown is useless: AISF

IMPHAL, Aug 9: The All India Students Federation Manipur State Council has said that the way the State Government is handling the COVID-19 pandemic is disappointing. 
The student body, in a statement, said the surge in the COVID-19 infection in the State shows that the lockdown is useless. The main reason behind the surge in the number of positive cases is due to the lack of mass testing. Mass testing and isolation of infected persons while easing the lockdown phase by phase should have been the right move. Due to the lockdown daily wage earners are suffering immensely, it added.
