Constitution adoption

IMPHAL, Sep 20: District Legal Services Authority, Senapati has started observation of the 70th anniversary of the adoption of Constitution of India with an awareness programme for safe practices to reduce the risk of COVID-19 today.
The program was launched by Samom Ibjen, District and Sessions Judge, Senapati and Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Senapati in the presence of Ashem Tarunakumari Devi, CJM/Senapati and Secretary DLSA, Senapati, members of Senapati Bar, staff and para-legal volunteers (PLVs).
The observation program will continue for 4 days and aims at reaching out to the  nook and corner of Senapati and Kangpokpi districts.
As a part of the programme, essential items and medi-kits will be distributed to the people of 53 villages and one children home besides installation of hoardings with important contact/helpline numbers, distribution of leaflets and publicity regarding safe practices to reduce COVID-19.
DLSA Senapati also announced that an online essay and painting competitions is going to be conducted on the topic "Legal duties and responsibilities of citizens at the time of COVID-19 pandemic". The last date for submission is October 10.
The competitions are for Senapati and Kangpokpi districts and the entries are to be sent to the email of DLSA Senapati i.e. [email protected].
