Meanwhile, the lockdown in Aizawl Municipal Area was lifted.
On September 11, the Mizoram Government had to impose a lockdown in the Municipal area of Aizawl following the surge in the COVID-19 cases in the State capital.
However, compared to other North Eastern States, Mizoram’s COVID-19 tally is very low. The State has also not reported any COVID-19 related fatality till date.
It can be noted here that the State Government had expressed concern recently with regard to the availability of facilities to address the rising cases of COVID-19 in the State.
