UPACO organises plantation prog

Joining hands with various club organizations, the United People's Administrative Council (UPACO) has been organising many programmes and activities to combat environmental degradation.
As part of its initiative, UPACO in association with the Chothe Khunou Village Authority organised a tree plantation programme today in the village.
Around 450 saplings of yongchak, guava, heikru/amla, jackfruit amongst other varieties were planted alongside the roads of the village, courtyards/gardens of houses, church and surrounding areas of Shanabung.
Brand ambassador of the Go Green Mission, Valentina Elangbam kicked off today's programme which was attended by around 50 people.
The body also thanked Divisional Forest Officer, Thoubal, Devala and the Department for providing the saplings for today's plantation programme.
