IMPHAL, Sep 23: Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Singpang Lup (AIMS), with the help of the public, will intensify its agitation for the "unconditional" release of its volunteers who were arrested for locking the office of Education Engineering Wing's office, said the student body in a statement, today.
AIMS also said that the investigation being carried out by the Vigilance Department in connection with the building construction project for DM University and Engineering College, Heirok seems to be stuck.
The Architect who signed the project's file had already clarified that the drawing wasn't his on July 16 but the investigation is yet to be concluded  claimed AIMS and expressed suspicion that the authority is attempting to conceal the flaws.
AIMS also said that arresting AIMS volunteers who were protesting democratically on September 18 instead of booking the unscrupulous officials is nothing but an attempt to suppress the truth.
The office of the Engineering Wing was locked after all staff left, AIMS added and urged all employees who claimed that they were rescued from the locked office after the police intervened should clarify at the earliest.
The student body also cautioned the staff concerned to take responsibility for all eventuality if they fail to clarify.
