Confiscated

MOREH, Sep 7: Officials of Customs Preventive Force Moreh confiscated a huge consignment of water pumps and generators suspected to have been smuggled from Myanmar, reports our correspondent.
The officials seized the items loaded on a truck yesterday when the truck was plying towards Imphal at around 5.40 pm.
The driver of the truck who was carrying the water pumps and generator has been identified as Abung (35) and he is from Hojai.
Many sections have expressed strong suspicion of lapses at Moreh since the border has been sealed on account of the COVID-19 outbreak.
