Torch rally demands justice

IMPHAL, Sep 7: Demanding justice for Arambam Ranjan, a torch rally was held this evening at Langdum, Imphal East.
The torch rally started from Langdum and wound up at Langdum Lamkhai.
The protesters who took part in the rally shouted slogans demanding arrest and befitting punishment of all the culprits involved in the killing of Ranjan.
Notably, some unidentified persons shot dead Ranjan in the morning of September 4 at Churachand-pur before looting Rs 1.15 crore. Ranjan (37) was working as a security personnel at the Writer Safeguard Pvt Limited, a cash replenishment agency.
Significantly, Chief Minister N Biren yesterday stated that three persons suspected to be involved in the killing and robbery case have been arrested. The Chief Minister also assured the wife of the deceased that justice would be delivered.
