KIWT 2021 : Ward no 1 taste victory in both football & volleyball events

KANGPOKPI, Jan 21: Ward No 3 (under-15) sealed a 2-0 win over Ward No 13 in the ongoing 17th Kanggui Inter Ward Tournament 2021 at Brig M Thomas Ground Kangpokpi this morning.
Kailemlal netted the opening goal in the 13th minute before Lunsanglen added another goal in the 25th minute to knock out Ward No 13 from the tournament.
In the men's category, Ward No 4 had a narrow 1-0 win over Ward No 1. The deciding goal came from Satboilen in the  6th minute of the game. Ward No 9 defeated Ward No 17 by 2-0 margin in another match of this category. Ngulkhotinchon (42nd) and Lammingou(50th) scored a goal each.
In veteran football, Ward No 1 had a 3-0 win over Ward No 9, thanks to Mangminhao (6th) and Kamgougin(8th,30th) goals for Ward No 1.
In another veteran football match, Ward No 3 sealed an easy 6-0 win over Ward No 10. Thangcha (20th, 70th, 80th), Paomin(46th) and Haominthang(78th, 85th) were the scorers for Ward No 3.
In men's volleyball, Ward No 2 defeated Ward No 5 & 6 by 3 straight sets in the first match while Ward No 13 defeated Ward No 7 in a similar manner in the following match.
In women's volleyball, Ward No 2 and Ward no1 defeated Ward No 3 and Ward No 11 in their respective matches.
