One found dead

IMPHAL, Jan 22: One youth has been found dead at a place between Maphou and Thangjingpokpi villages under the jurisdiction of Thoubal Dam police station.
Meanwhile, KSO Sadar Hills has urged the State Government to book all the culprits within 24 hours.
The deceased has been identified as one Lunkhogin Touthang (24) s/o Seipao of Twichin village, Kangpokpi district.
Lunkhogin was working as a helper to an excavator operator engaged in construction of road from Thangjingpokpi to Risophung under PMGSY, sources said.  
He went out from a makeshift labour camp built at the work site at around 7.30 am yesterday and he was found dead in the afternoon.
He is survived by his wife.
After registering a case at Thoubal Dam police station, police have deposited the corpse at JNIMS mortuary.
Speaking to media persons at JNIMS mortuary, KSO Sadar Hills assistant general secretary Romen Lalginsei Lhouvum said that the death of Lunkhogin looks highly suspicious.
Maintaining that they would not claim the body of Lunkhogin, Romen Lalginsei Lhouvum said they would launch intense modes of agitation if the culprits are not booked within 24 hours.
