Celebration of Ibudhou Puthiba begins at Tripura

IMPHAL, Jan 25: The ritualistic festival of Ibudhou Puthiba began yesterday at Abhoynagar in Tripura was inaugurated by MLA Rampada Jamatia.
The three day long festival is organised by Abhoynagar Puthiba Social Welfare and Cultural Society along with the support of Umang Lai Kanba Apunba Lup (UKAL) Manipur and ICA Department of Tripura Government.
Moirangthem Indramani Singh, president of Abhoynagar Puthiba Social Welfare and Cultural Society, its secretary Sinam Dipak Kumar, advisor Nongthombam Anil Singh, social activist Sija Ratna, general secretary of UKAL Jilangamba and its publicity secretary Longjam Arun attended the inaugural ceremony among others.
A publication titled 'Puthiba Lai Haraoba' was also launched during the event and various religious and cultural programs were showcased.
