Najma leads in R-Day greetings

IMPHAL, Jan 25 : Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has extended her greetings to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Republic Day, 2021.
"This is the day for all of us to celebrate and honour our Nation and sovereignty. This is a day to remember with gratitude the enormous efforts and sacrifices of millions of freedom fighters whose blood and sweat gave us Independence and created our republic. Above all, this is a day to cherish our republican values," said Dr Najma in her greetings.
Saying that the experiment of democracy in India has been successful and is respected by other Nations, the Governor urged all to offer gratitude to those founding fathers for their foresight and understanding.
 She also appealed all to work together to make India strong, peaceful and prosperous.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh greeted the people of Manipur on the occasion of Republic Day 2021.
In his message, the CM stated that the full text of the Indian Constitution came into effect on 26th January 1950. The Constitution makes India a sovereign, democratic republic founded on the tenets of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity, said the CM.
N Biren also urged all to 'to discharge our fundamental duties and be proactive partners in Nation building.'
Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker, Y Khemchand Singh also wished the citizens of the Nation to celebrate the day and remember those who had sacrificed their lives in the Indian independence movement.   "It is a matter of pride and joy for the citizens of India celebrating the day as an important annual event,'' added the Speaker.
Rajya Sabha MP, Leishemba Sanajoaba also wished the people of Nation on the occasion of Republic Day, 2021. "Let's salute the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters who made us realise the dream of an independent and unified India, " said the titular king  
Works Minister Th Bi-swajit Singh, CAF & PD Minister Th Satyabrata Singh, Agriculture Minister O Lukhoi Singh, MAHUD Minister O Henry also conveyed their greetings.
