Two wild birds rescued

IMPHAL, Jan 27 : The Himalayan griffon vulture rescued by Tamenglong DC Armstrong Pame has been handed over to the authority of Manipur Zoological Garden, today.
The vulture was yesterday transferred to the care of DFO, Tamenglong yesterday by the DC.
The vulture was reportedly rescued from the hands of J Pabram villagers.
Meanwhile, two denizens of Kumbi rescued one frail crested serpent eagle and handed it over to the staff of DFO, Bishnupur.
It is reported that the eagle is kept at the care of veterinary experts for the time being and will be released to a safe habitat once the bird recovers fully.
The wild bird was rescued by Takhellambam Messi, s/o Samarendro and Khangembam Surchand, s/o Brajamani.
