Grenade lobbed, shots fired

IMPHAL, Jan 27: The residence of former Patsoi Assembly Constituency MLA Sapam Kunjakeswar located at Tera Sapam Leirak was attacked by unknown assailants on Tuesday.
The unknown assailants fired 3-4 rounds of bullets and hurled a hand grenade at the former MLA's house at around 8.15 Tuesday night. The hand grenade did not explode. No one was hurt, but the attack damaged walls and shattered glasses of some windows, said sources.
A bomb squad of Manipur police has picked up the hand grenade. A case has been registered at the Lamphel Police Station and investigation is on.  The assailants have not been identified yet, said the sources.
