Dr S Madegowda assures to provide more funds

IMPHAL, Jan 5
Dr S Madegowda, chairman of  Karnataka State Cooperative Fisheries, Federation Limited, Mysuru assured to support the Government of Manipur to get more funds under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).
The assurance was given by Dr S Madegowda during a meeting with Chief Minister N Biren along with the Board of Directors of the Valley Districts Fisherman's Cooperative Federation Limited Manipur yesterday. Various plans were also discussed to provide financial assistance to the fish farmers of Manipur under PMMSY scheme.
Dr S Madegowda also assured to send ten life saving coracle boats free of cost to the Government of Manipur through Manipur Federation.
The Manipur's federation stated that the chairman visited Manipur to support the vision of the Chief Minister's N Biren to produce sufficient fish in the State through Valley Districts Fisherman's Cooperative Federation Limited Manipur.
During his visit he gave assurance to provide fish feed and fibre boat loans to the fishermen through Manipur's federation.
