NESO express solidarity with TSF

The North East Student's Organisation (NESO), in a statement issued yesterday, expressed its solidarity with the Twipra Students Federa-tion (TSF) which is observing a black day to commemorate the 2nd Anniversary of the brutal atrocity committed by the security personnel upon the TSF activists during a peaceful and democratic movement against CAB 2019 at Madhav Bari, Tripura on January 8, 2019.
The security personnel involved in the heinous atrocity should have been punished, but sadly no punishment or punitive actions has been taken, said NESO.
The indigenous community of Tripura are not only marginalized but also oppressed and suppressed by the Government of Tripura, it added.
NESO urged the authorities concerned to take action against the police personnel involved in the unwarranted firing upon the indigenous people of Tripura.
The North East Student's Organisation (NESO) comprises of the Khasi Students Union (KSU), All Assam Students Union (AASU), Naga Students Federation (NSF), Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP), Twipra Students Federation (TSF), All Manipur Students Union (AMSU), Garo Students Union (GSU) and All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU).
