Qualifier Meiraba Luwang reaches Bulgaria International Badminton Tourney final

IMPHAL, Oct 9 : Ace shuttler Maisnam Meiraba Luwang has reached the Bulgaria International Badminton Tournament final being underway at Sofia, Bulgaria under the aegis of Badminton World Federation (BWF) & Europe Badminton.
Meiraba, who started the tournament as a qualifier, will face host Deniel Nikolov in the final tomorrow at 1 pm (IST).
Meiraba, who recently captured men's singles title at Yonex Latvia International Future Series Badminton tournament on his senior debut, made it to the final with a convincing 21-9, 21-15 win over Turkey's Emre Lale today in the semis.
Earlier in the qualifiers, Meiraba defeated Sid Palakkal of England 21-11, 21-12 and overcame Ludvig Peter Olsson of Sweden 21-15, 21-16 to make it to the main round.
In the main draw's first round, Meiraba sealed an easy 21-11, 21-5 win over Borko Petrovic of Serbia and saw off Markus Barth of Norway 21-9, 21-10 to secure the last 8 round berth.
In the quarter final, Meiraba defeated Dmitriy Panarin of Kazakhstan 21-17, 21-12 and set up a semi-final date with Emre Lale.
