Longyo Education Trust fetes Ningmareo Shimray

Ukhrul, Oct 17: Longyo Education Trust (LET), Ukhrul on Sunday feted National Teacher Awardee, Ningmareo Shimray at Wino Shanao Long Hall, Ukhrul.
Former Miss Manipur 2019, AR Mathing also read out a brief biography of Ningmareo Shimray before the beginning of the felicitation programme.
She stated that Ningmareo was first appointed in 2007 as graduate teacher and was promoted to Lecturer in 2019 while adding that Ningmareo Shimray was conferred the prestigious National Teacher Award in recognition of his 20 years of service as a teacher.
It might be mentioned that Ningmareo Shimray is also a member of Longyo Education Trust, and has been actively involved in various activities for the welfare of the student community.
During the event, Ningmareo Shimray was presented a Tangkhul traditional headgear and vase coat as a mark of appreciation.
Ukhrul Hr Sec School principal, Mercy; Model High School, Phungnangla; Ukhrul District Teacher Welfare Association president, Law Wungnaokhan;  Sothing Shimray, Ngachonshing and Hopkinson also spoke in the event.
