Between haters and your dream

I grew up knowing this quote, “wise men speak because they have something to say; fools because they have to say something.” This is what you see in most of the social media comments here in Manipur. Seriously? Is that what freedom of speech has brought us to? Better remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.
With such unchained freedom of speech, trust me – people will surely get you wrong between your suggestion and your ignorance. Having grown up in such smokes, has the definition of success changed in an environment like ours? Are we to call cool if we have the walls to ignore all those voices around? Success as I knew was a peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming. But growing up in a city or state like ours – trust me – we are just a big troll away from your first hit.
Then what is success or all those I know about success – are they valid? Some say - success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts, success is not the key to happiness, happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. The courage to continue? And to do what we love to do? Seriously? PAKTEY – WAREY – You are not good – You are a piece of sh**t and so on. In the midst of this – what do we do?
I don’t wanna go on talking about how ugly things are on the internet. But trust me – many next to you and even you are a potential victim of trolls just for doing what you love. It’s really hard to go out there and do what you love – talking about just for beginners. Singing and uploading, dancing and uploading – getting subscribers and fans. Yes – it’s fun but the price for that is not just the hard work but pain of getting trolls as well. I know – it’s hard and I have been there. By now – this article is not going where it has to go.
You must have heard that you can't change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust your sails to always reach your destination. That's how you take ownership of your perspective. Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant. Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence. If you can control how you see and what only you should see – trust me – there are a lot more you can do. Beyond trolls and beyond those hated comments – there lies your peace in following your passion. Always remember – ‘a product for everybody is a product for nobody,’ just that way – everyone can’t be your fan. So, stop thinking that all should love what you love for that will defy the individualism ideas as we are all different.
So, hello! don’t let a bad day make you feel like you have a bad life, challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful. It’s hard to wait around for something you know might never happen; but it’s harder to give up when you know it's everything you want. Please readers, being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. it means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.
I know the article went on somewhere but let’s get it clear that what you can is not always something everyone could. What you have might be something that everyone wants to have. So, human jealousy is prone to take its shell breaking birth. Don’t worry – haters are meant to hate so let them do their job. Keep chasing at full speed, let the haters make the noise.
