NWU condemned

IMPHAL, November 23
The Naga Women's Union (NWU) has condemned the 'Agrressive Defensive Posture' of 42 Assam Rifles which came into force in Ukhrul and Kamjong districts from 6 PM of November 20.
The order for the 'Agressive Defensive Posture' was issued on November 19 on the aftermath of armed ambush in Churachandpur district on November 13.
In a statement issued today, NWU alleged that the order is like a declaration of war and armed offensive against innocent civilians of the districts where it has been implemented.
NWU sought immediate intervention of the Chief Minister who is also the Home Minister to look into the matter and ensure that the order is reviewed for the safety and security of innocent civilians. NWU added that the populace of the State have been suffering for decades.
