IMPHAL, Nov 23 : Manipur men's team ended their campaign in the Senior National Sepak Takraw Championship 2021 with a 1-2 semi-final loss in the hands of SSB today.
The tournament is organised under the auspices of Sepak Takraw Federation of India at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara in Punjab.
 Manipur suffered 12-21, 10-21 loss in the first regu and 14-21, 9-21 loss in the third regu after winning second regu 23-21, 21-14.
Earlier in the group stage matches of the tournament which began on November 21, Manipur secured sweeping wins against Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Nagaland to finish Group runners up and seal a place in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, in the women's team event, Manipur beat UP 21-16, 21-7 in first regu, 21-7, 21-13 in second regu and 20-22, 21-18, 21-5 in the third regu for first win in Group (A) stage.
They then beat Tamil Nadu 21-10, 21-16 in the first regu, 21-18, 21-5 in the second regu and 21-9, 21-7 in the third regu for the second win in the league stage.
