IMPHAL, Nov 23 : Manipur rode on an all round performance by Kishan to beat Arunachal Pradesh by 26 runs and secure third win in the ongoing Men's U-25 State A trophy (2021-22) plate group stage at Numalijalah Parade Ground, Guwahati today.
Manipur, who had beaten Nagaland and Meghalaya earlier in the tournament, won the toss and elected to bat first.
With Guniram A top-scoring for the team with 42 runs off 45 balls, Kishan adding an unbeaten 40 runs off 38 balls and 31 extras conceded by Arunachal Pradesh bowlers, Manipur posted a total of 240 runs for 6 in their quota of 50 overs.
Andyroshan (21), Nawaz (30), Johnson (24) and Nitesh (21) also made significant contributions to the State's tally in this innings which saw Arunachal Pradesh bowler Likha Sonia and Yorjum Sera grab two wickets each.
In reply, Arunachal Pradesh could gather only 214 runs for 9 despite half century knocks from Subham (57) and MI Khan (51 not out) as early rampage by Manipur bowlers proved their chase costly and greatly hindered their scoring momentum.

Manipur will play Mizoram in the next match tomorrow at ACA Stadium, Barsapara, Guwahati.
