'Sports infrastructure necessary for youth to showcase talents'

Youth living in underdeveloped area of  Manipur have a lot of talent and unexplored potential but lacks basic infrastructure and facilities, said Wilubou Newmai, BJP spokesperson while addressing the opening ceremony of 1st Unity Cup 2021 at  Katang Village, Tousem block, Tamei Assembly Constituency.  
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Wilubou Newmai extended his appreciation to the youth of Tousem and Tamei for inviting him to the opening ceremony and stated that he was overwhelmed by the warm welcome and support.  
While stressing on the need for sports infrastructure in remote areas of the state, Wilubou Newmai mentioned that if the youth of the State had all the necessary infrastructure and facilities, they would already be playing at National and International level.
He also motivated the youths to channelize their talent in the right direction and urged them to refrain from drugs or any form of anti-social activities.
“There is a need for them to have the best kind of sports infrastructure and facilities to showcase their  skills and talents”, Wilubou asserted.
The spokesperson also enlightened the gathering on leadership and stated that 52-Tamei (ST) Assembly Constituency is in dire need of a good and honest leader.
Wilubou Newmai further appealed to the people of Tamei AC to provide their support in the upcoming Assembly election and give him a chance to serve the people and bring development and prosperity in the AC.
