Drugs worth Rs 3 cr seized

SENAPATI, Nov 25: Maram Battalion of Jwalamukhi Sector, Assam Rifles under IGAR Assam Rifles (East) seized 95,000 WIY (world is yours) tablets today worth Rs 3 crore.
According to AR,  based on specific input on illegal smuggling of drugs, troops of Maram Bn established a mobile vehicle check post on NH-02 at Tadubi petrol pump.
During spot checking of vehicles, one Bolero bearing registration number MN-01-S-7587 was intercepted and a large package containing 95,000 WY tablets was found in its diesel tank.
The recovered items alongwith two apprehended individuals have been handed over to Imphal Customs office.
