IMPHAL, Nov 3 : RIMS Director Prof A Santa Singh has announced that the normal OPD of the institute will resume from November 8.
He said this during an inaugural ceremony of Paediatric Emergency Block, RIMS.
Prof Santa continued that opening such a block would augment the emergency healthcare service given to children.
He also announced that the place where Paediatric Emergency Block would now be called Gate no 1 while the location of the Oxygen Plant and the Blood Bank would be called Gate no 2.
According to A Santa, there would be 7 gates in total so that people can identify the entry points more conveniently.
Saying that Paediatric is a well equipped department, he announced that one of the finest Paediatric ICU in North East India would also come up shortly at the institute. One PSA plant for gynae and paediatric having a capacity of 1000 metre per minute will also be installed at the hospital, Prof A Santa continued.
RIMS Medical Superintendent Dr N Sanjib Singh, HoD Paediatric Department Dr Ch Shyamsunder Singh and Nursing Superintendent Sh Lata Devi also attended the programme.
