Guv inaugurates oxygen plants

Governor La Ganesan  inaugurated two 10-kilolitre (KL) Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) plants at Regional Institute of  Medical Sciences,  Jubilee Hall, Imphal, today.
Speaking at the inaugural function, La Ganesan said that he is delighted to witness  another significant event in the rejuvenation of this great institute of medical sciences in the NE region.
The Governor said that he attended the programme to encourage all to pursue the excellence that the institute is capable of.
RIMS Imphal, is one of the great institutions, as far as health care is concerned, not only in the NE States but also compared to other states of the country, La Ganesan noted.
 The Governor further stated that the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) has done the Nation a great service by producing many young doctors’ and specialists to contribute to the health care sector.
The Governor also appealed to the doctors and medical students in the institute to extend full help to the needy patients .It is indeed a matter of great satisfaction that RIMS has these two 10 KL Liquid Medical Oxygen plants at this critical juncture of COVID-19 pandemic, he said and appreciated RIMS Director Dr A Santa Singh and all the staff of RIMS for their service.
The Governor advised doctors, nurses and young medical students to take advantage of the health revolution that has been initiated.
Meanwhile, RIMS Nurses Association expressed gratitude to the Governor for the constant support and encouragement he has been rendering to the doctors, nurses and attendants.
RIMS Director Prof A Santa Singh, Medical Superintendent Prof  N Sanjib Singh also attended the programme.
