Clear pending bills: Media to Govt

IMPHAL, Dec 11 : A joint meeting of the Editors' Guild Manipur (EGM), Manipur Hills Journalists' Union  (MHJU) and Editors supported by the All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) have urged the State Government to clear pending advertisement bills on or before December 15.
The resolution was taken during a meeting convened today at Manipur Press Club following an assurance given by the Chief Minister in separate telephonic conversations with the presi- dents of EGM and  AMWJU.
The media organisations have decided to take up actions including cease work and other activities if the Government fails to heed the ultimatum by the afternoon of December 15.
The meeting was attended by EGM president Khogendra Khomdram, AMWJU president W Shamjai and many Editors of both print and electronic media.
