Farmers training programme conducted

IMPHAL, Dec 12
A one day training on 'Cultivation, conservation and marketing of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPS)' for farmers was held at Zalenmum Community Hall today.
The training programme jointly organised by Manipur State Medicinal Plants Board and Dounel Dynasty Trust, Churachandpur was attended by Dr A Guneswar Sharma and Letkhohen Haokip, chairman of Zalenmun village as presidium members.
Dr Ng Piloo, associate professor horticulture (CAU); Dr Avhinas Moirangthem, assistant professor, horticulture; Dr S Romen Singh, assistant professor, horticulture, CAU and K Jogeshchandra Sharma, mission director (retd), Horticulture Mission Manipur spoke on cultivation, conservation and marketing of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPS), programme implementation, quality planting materials of medicinal and aromatic plants.
More than 80 farmers participated in the training programme.
