Appoint SCERT Director, demands DESAM

IMPHAL, Dec 12
The Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has demanded the Government to fill in the post of Director of SCERT which has been lying vacant since the last 10 months.
In a statement issued today, DESAM said the post of Director of SCERT has been lying vacant since March 1, 2021.
This has caused several problems in the department including transfer and promotion of staff and appointment of regular Principals of various DIET centres of the State.
Director of SCERT is also responsible for organising training for teachers and updating syllabi for Class I-VIII as per need.
DESAM questioned the reason for keeping the seat of Director vacant for such a long time.
